The Only Way
This is when Oprah went into some strange territory about many ways being the same and all it takes is a loving heart (JW's call it honesthearted, the kind of people God accepts). However, one lady in the audience is unafraid to point out Jesus is the only Way.
Would I have been just as courageous to confront Oprah on her own show that reaches millions?
Great job sister!

I admire their courage to stand. Great job, ladies!
I think their apologetic could have been stronger if they asked Oprah one simple question. "Oprah, you say you are a Christian, and Jesus said He is the only way to the father. Why do you say there are millions of ways to 'god', when Jesus, the one you claim to follow, said there is only one -- Him?" (Or something like that. The point is, they could have appealed to the disconnect between her profession and her beliefs.)
Second, I think it is difficult in a setting like the one shown to convince the masses that Jesus is the only way since not everyone in the room accepts the authority of Scripture. Not everyone in the room is Christian...or even religious for that matter.
For example, I watched a program where Kurt Cameron and Ray Comfort ("Hell's Best Kept Secret") tried convincing an atheist he was a sinner. They appealed to the 10 commandments, but the strategy was not effective. Why? Because the bible had no authority in the atheist's worldview. So, other steps must first be taken before being able to convince him he's a sinner. This relates to the Oprah situation.
Never-the-less, I appreciate the courage these ladies had in defending the truth in a "hostile" situation. Great job, ladies!
On-the mark observations!
