Phony Senators and Media

It is pitiful that the mainstream media is giving attention to Media Matters and is now maligning Rush Limbaugh for his "phony soldiers" remark.

Anyone listening to Limbaugh when those comments were made understood he was not referring to those serving in the military and oppose the Iraq War, but those who truly fake their status and service. They are phony for their credentials and erroneous accomplishments.

Along with Media Matters, Sen. Harry "The War is Lost" Reid, is moving for a public condemnation of Limbaugh who never disrespected any real soldiers with real capacities. Where was Reid's swiftness to repudiate MoveOn.Org for their General Betray Us Ad? Why does he and other democrats continue hindering our soldiers from doing their jobs?

Let us not forget there are people who still care for truth and will stand up against these phonies.

God's Warriors, Islam, and sneaking to church

CNN's God's Warriors with Christiane Amanpour unjustifiably portrays christians being just as much a threat as islamic suicide bombers. Even with this poor attempt at being balanced, this show states muslim youth in america feel a great disconnect with the culture and reject it. They don't date, drink alcohol, and engage in premarital sex.

I agree with them, sex outside of marriage and intoxication is immoral.

Rehan Seyam, a muslim girl appearing on the show,

"Islam is a way of life. Ask anyone who practices. They will tell you, it's not just your religion. A lot of people go to the church on Sunday, and that's their religion for their week. Mine is every single day, every minute of my day."

It is hard not to care for Seyam. Her impression, that one-day-a-week churchgoers don't take God seriously, is one I held. My reluctance to see if this was so the Almighty used for His glory. As a Witness I secretly went to church. In it I found people with a heart and mind for God. Sinners united there for one purpose, to worship the Creator. Perhaps not every one of them was repentant and a new creation, but this was a far cry from what I had expected.

This impression of one-day-a-week reverence is far from the truth. Knowing the one true God and His Son Jesus Christ is a personal and constant journey. Christ suffering for our wickedness so that we would receive His righteousness is testimony to His love.

My question is, do muslims have a God who is this personal- who took it upon Himself to be a Sacrifice and Redeemer? Do you?

What is the choice in "pro-choice"? Choosing to terminate a baby's life? Thompson and Brownback are right on this issue (and perhaps Romney is authentic!).

Misinformation

After the right-wing blonde publicly wished John Edwards would be killed in a terror attack, Edwards' wife weighed in. Book sales and campaign donations to follow.

That's very dishonest reporting. Ann Coulter on Good Morning America was noting the media did not raise an uproar when Bill Maher actually said our Vice-President's assasination would have been a good thing.

Here's Coulter's full remark:

But about the same time, you know, Bill Maher was not joking and saying he wished Dick Cheney had been killed in a terrorist attack — so I've learned my lesson: If I'm going to say anything about John Edwards in the future, I'll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot.

Her point is not wishing for Edwards' death, but that she may as well have said that because of the apparent double standard. She even predicted misinformation of this coverage to occur.
